Whiskey Sour

A classic, sweet and sour cocktail with a thick layer of foam on top.

  • 1 ½ oz. bourbon
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 dash angostura bitters
  • Maraschino cherry
  • Ice


  1. Add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, egg white, bitters, and a small handful of ice into a shaker.
  2. Shake vigorously for about a minute or until it gets frothy on top.
  3. Prepare a glass with ice and a maraschino cherry and strain the shaken mixture into it.
